报告摘要:
Many efforts have been devoted to solar driven water splitting, however, some of photocatalysts can only work under UV irradiation. To fully utilize the sun light irradiation and to construct a stable photocatalytic system for hydrogen generation are still challenges in photocatalytic water splitting. This talk will introduce several photocatalysts for overall water splitting under near infrared (NIR) and visible light irradiation. By assemble a NIR-to-visible upconversion (UC) components, for example, NYF4:Yb3+, Er3+ (NYF), the effective hydrogen evolution from over-all water splitting under NIR/visible light illumination has been achieved and the stability has been improved. In addition, the role of oxygen transfer regent such as perfluorodecalin (FDC) in over-all water splitting is discussed, which can inhibit the hydrogen-oxygen recombination reaction over the photocatalyst.
