Recently, Prof. Yuyang Li from the Institute of Advanced Energy and Powertrain Technology has been awarded the inaugural Research Excellence Award by the Combustion Institute, as one of three Chinese recipients.

Prof. Yuyang Li’s main research interests include combustion kinetics, laminar flame dynamics, spray/droplet combustion and combustion diagnostics. He has authored more than 130 journal publications in Acc. Chem. Res., Combust. Flame, etc, with more than 2600 citations. He serves as a Colloquium Co-Chair of the 38th International Symposium on Combustion and a Member of Young Scholar Committee of Chinese Combustion Society, etc. He has won the 16th China Youth Science and Technology Award (2020), Research Excellence Award of the Combustion Institute (2020), State Natural Science Award (2nd Grade, 2018), Young Investigator Prize of the Asian-Pacific Conference on Combustion (2017), Excellent Young Scholar of NSFC (2016), Science and Technology Award of Anhui Province (1st Grade, 2013), Bernard Lewis Fellowship of the Combustion Institute (2010), etc.
