In Fall 2018, ME witnessed the arrival of over 20 exchange students from Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT), Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU), KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Ghent University (UGent) and Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI). On Wednesday, September 12th, the ME International Liaison Office held an orientation for these international exchange students, helping them quickly familiar with the campus life at SJTU.

Staff at the International Liaison Office introduced the School and provided information on course enrollment and advice for campus life. A Chinese buddy was also arranged for each international student to help the international students acclimate to SJTU surroundings. Further, more intercultural events will be organized for the international students to enhance mutual understanding.
