ME received with great joy some 1000 new students on Sep. 3rd .

In the morning, with a friendly smile on the face, volunteers were rushing here and there helping freshmen carry luggages and go through the necessary enrollment procedure. Moved by the senior fellow students, newcomers and parents accompanying them found the yet-to-known school quite heartwarming.   
 

  
In the afternoon, ME organized an orientation for the newcomers and their parents to have a brief understanding of the history, achievements, management theory and curriculum of the school, in a bid to help them to adapt to this new environment in an easier and quick manner.  
 

While at night, official class teachers visited their students' dormitories respectively to exchange information. From different departments and research institutes and acting as guardian angle , those official class teachers are strictly selected doctoral candidates, among who 50% have overseas experiences. In the coming week, freshmen will participate in a series of activities to help them embark on a new route, such as opening ceremony, and lecture by Ma Dexiu, Secretary of CPC Community of SJTU.
