On Mar. 16th, in Tianxi Hotel, ME hosted farewell dinner party under the theme of Flying Higher for its postgraduates of the 2011 session amid a warm atmosphere in a hope to further enhance the students' sense of identification with their alma mater, of social responsibility, and of happiness in the ME. Those attending the dinner party, besides about 500 graduates, included Yanmin Tao, Secretary of ME, Prof. Qixin Cao, from the Robotics Research Institute and Director of the Engineering Training School, Prof. Xiangyang Zhu and Prof. Jingyi Wu, Associate Deans of ME, Yan Meng, Deputy secretary of ME, Xin Zhao, Director of Student Affairs.
 

Before the farewell dinner party, the graduates wrote down on the message board in the hotel hall their good wishes to their alma mater, the ME, mentors, and fellow students. There were a lot of pictures of the graduating class and their message posters, which spiced up the farewell party.  

The party began with a vigorous dance. After Xin Zhao introduced the attendees, Yanmin Tao proposed a toast. He congratulated the students on their smooth graduation, approved and complemented the committed work of the teachers, the educational administration and the mentors. He hoped that the students might often come back and visit the school. Then, Prof. Xiangyang Zhu delivered a speech, he hoped that the students could achieve even more and contribute to society.
 

The party also presented a special awarding ceremony to those most popular mentors. The Kindest Teacher Award went to Yixi Zhao, Xiaojian Mao, the Most Geilivable Teacher Award, Binmiao Yu, the Most Caring Teacher Award, Shushen Zang, the Most Dedicated Teacher Award, Xiumin Jiang, the Most Respected Teacher Award, Jinyi Wu, the Most Enthusiastic Teacher Award, and Wei Dong, the Most Warm-hearted Teacher Award. Then, the host announced the My Favourite Award proposed by the graduate students. Before the party drew to an end, Yan Men, Prof. Qisuo Cao and Prof. Feng Gao picked up presents to lucky students randomly, leading the ceremony to its climax. 
 

During the farewell party, students and teachers presented performance together, weaving a song of loving bond among them.

The month of March is a time when the graduates say goodbye to their teachers, leave their school, and embark on a new journey in pursuit of their dreams. All the best wishes to the graduates of 2011 session.
