Brief introduction to Dr. Todd Fansler
Dr. Todd Fansler is an internationally recognized expert in laser-based imaging diagnostics and engine research. His research focuses on applying various combustion diagnostic techniques to improve internal combustion engine efficiency and reduce pollutant emission. Dr. Fansler is now the manager of combustion systems group in General Motors Research and Development Center in Warren, Michigan. Dr. Fansler serves as organizer in various academic and industrial conferences including American Physical Society, Combustion Institute, Optical Society of America and SAE. He also serves in editorial boards and referee committees for several journals, including International Journal of Engine Research, Measurement Science and Technologies, Applied Optics, Combustion and Flame, etc. Dr Fansler has widely developed relations with universities. He served as external examiner for doctoral defense for Lund University, Sweden and worked in the doctoral committee of University of Michigan. He is now the external evaluator for faculty appointments and promotions for University of Wisconsin-Madison, Michigan State University and University of Waterloo.
