项目概述

        This project is made by the group “I-climbing: Easier to load goods” which is from the class of prof. Yang. Our team has four members——Tongjia Li, Yongjun Wang, Zhichao Guo and Yi Zhang. Our project idea is derived from the supermarket. As we know, the worker in the supermarket usually put the goods on the shelf without any equipment. If the shelf is high, he may not only try to do it on tiptoe, but also need to bend over to pick up the goods over and over again which is so tiring and troublesome. So, how to solve this problem? We plan to make an equipment which can help the staff put the goods on the shelves. We used almost 14 weeks to implement this project. During the process, we first did the market survey and made the questionnaires. And then, according to the results of market survey, we made a QFD of the ladder in the supermarket. By QFD, we did some concept designs and finally chose the best one. After that, we used UG to draw 3D model of the final design. The manufacturing tools we decided to use are cutting machine, welding gun, wrench, screwdriver and grinding apparatus. The cost of the project is around 2500 yuan.


项目目标

We propose a plan—An Elevatable platform for supermarket. Our project target is to create an equipment which can help the staff put the goods on the shelves. And this equipment will be easy to use, occupy smaller space and the price of it will be low. This platform will be elevatable and it can carry a lot of weight. This equipment will be composed of at least three parts—chassis, elevator, ladder and so on. There are four wheels under the chassis. The wheel under the chassis make sure it can be moved freely. And the elevator will be the most important part which needs to carry the goods. We will use hydraulic rod to control the elevator. In the meanwhile, the elevator goes up and down by the controlling of hydraulic rod. By this, users can arrange the goods at a so suitable height that they won’t be so tired.

For this equipment, it can relieve the working pressure of the worker in the supermarket. And it can also be used in the library or in the warehouse. To some extent, this equipment is low-cost and multi-purpose. Hope it will be useful in the future.


项目成果

Finally, we successfully design an equipment and use UG to draw the 3D model of it. This equipment will not only help staff work conveniently, but also be easy for us to install. It is made of some integral components which can directly from Taobao. And the materials we choose are easy to get and processed. This equipment has a lifting platform. When the staff is using it, the only thing for staff to do is putting the goods into the platform when it is not lifted. And then, he climbs the ladder and work with the lifted platform. By this device, the staff will not feel much more tired and the working efficiency will be significantly improved. Also, it is relatively safe. The wheels we used each can hold 400kg, and the hydraulic rod can hold 300kg. The ladder is made of steel plate and steel bar. Therefore, we can say that the base plate and the platform will be absolutely safe.

At last, we achieve our goals and the equipment will be very convenient for stuff to use. Hope it can be applied in supermarkets.
